CELTIC
INT'L FAMILIES SOCIETY
OF NORTH AMERICA
CIFSNA
Exactly what does this mean?
To many it is just a great place to meet & be with friends,
who
become Family.
To others it means a Scholarship.
We
are Celtic Int'l Families Society of North America.
We are a non-profit Society.
We are a loving group of Celtic people who banned together,
who still
struggle
to keep our financial head above water,
who attend Games, who help each
other,
as Family should.
We sometimes know more about our Celtic brothers
& sisters
than we do our own siblings. We have BIG hearts.
We
wish to invite any person with Celtic interest to join our Society.
We are studying all 7 Celtic Nations:
Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Isle of Man, Breton, Cornwall, Galicia.
We help 1000's at our tent site each year, giving information,
sharing
stories, and gathering knowledge from the very people
we are helping. Between our
Trustees, we own over 500 books
on Celtic history, and the Celtic
people. This knowledge is renewed
each year, added to, and then shared with all
each
summer,
at the Games.
We
hope the 7 Celtic Nations will join us, with reference books,
stories,
and items
from their heritage, that we can pass on.
We also need books on
ancient surnames,
from their countries.
Translate it for us, if need be.
So
many of the older Celtic nations are struggling to keep
their history
alive.
We welcome all who will come & teach
us about their Celtic People,
their Celtic Family.
CIFSNA is trying to share this knowledge... by more learning,
researching on the web, & teaching. Our Scholarships are for
the study of Celtic language,
dance, music, history, etc.
Please
come to our tent, visit our meetings, and finally join us in
helping to
keep
the 7 Celtic Nations alive.
