CELTIC
INT'L FAMILIES SOCIETY
OF NORTH AMERICA
A PAN-CELTIC ORGANIZATION
CIFSNA seeks to be a vital part of this movement by devoting its
energies to these goals.
WHO ARE WE?
Our membership reflects our many occupations, backgrounds, and skills,
that we bring together by our common desire to deepen our knowledge
of Celtic culture and to extend broader community awareness of its
traditions. Annual scholarships shall be awarded to individual or
group 21 years of age or younger in North America who is/are involved in the
study or preservation of Celtic traditions, history, class, music, sport or
heritage.
We are inclusive: New members with Celtic and non-Celtic roots are
welcome. And we seek to work with other Celtic organizations that share
similar aspirations.
WHAT IS OUR PROGRAM?
· We provide annual scholarships to youth and to groups which
demonstrate excellence in Celtic arts, crafts, sports, music, dance, and
other fields.
· We attend Highland Games and also participate in parades and other celebrations so we may
represent the Celtic traditions before new audiences.
· We emphasize the importance of family in building the values that will
sustain our youth as individuals and involved citizens.
WHAT DO YOU GET?
· You will learn how to research your personal Celtic background.
· You will have access to our Celtic heritage database.
· You will find fellowship and friendship in abundance.
· You will receive an informative newsletter regularly.
· Besides monthly meetings you will have many opportunities to
participate actively, as a volunteer to shape CIFSNA’s future.
We invite you to visit our tent at Highland Games (currently in the Pacific Northwest), and-please-ask
questions!
