What is the CIFSNA Scholarship, & How to apply:

CIFSNA is: Celtic Int'l Families Society of North America
We are a Non-Profit Society (501) (c)(3)

From our By-Laws:
"As amended and adopted by the membership on March 10, 2002"


Scholarship Fund:

"An annual scholarship shall be awarded to individuals or groups must 
be 21 years of age or younger in North America, who are involved in the study or 
preservation of Celtic Traditions, history, crafts, music, sports, or heritage."

"Groups are defined as Celtic dance troupes, bands, and sport teams, etc."

"Scholarships are awarded for competition or instruction and applicants
must provide proof of participation in a competitive events or
instruction. This proof may be in the form of a schedule or program
that includes the applicants name, or in the content of instruction, the
instructors business card or their name, phone number, and address, or
the school's name, phone number, and address."


Scholarship Procedure:

"All requests for scholarship funds must be made in writing, using the
Scholarship Application Form, and sent to the Corresponding Secretary
stating what the applicant needs and wishes for what the scholarship
funds are to be used for. Scholarships are awarded for competition or
instruction."

The Scholarship Application Form will be MAILED to you.
Please mail a request for a Scholarship Application Form.  This can be done 
using e-mail or regular mail.  Deadline for application submission is Nov. 1.

Please note:  Submission of an application to CIFSNA Scholarship Fund,
does NOT Guarantee an Awarded Scholarship.
